Aaron Murray’s Legacy

Reporter: Jay Cobb

What will Murray’s legacy be? Record holder, one of the best to play the game, or that he could never win the big game and get over the hump?

Murray says he hasn’t even thought about what his legacy is going to be when the clock strikes zero and his time as the top Dawg is over.

“No, I haven’t thought about it. I guess maybe when I’m old I’ll think about that kind of stuff, but I am old now, but not too old” Murray says.

Murray’s teammate, Jordan Jenkins, didn’t have a hard time at all summing up Murray’s legacy.

Jenkins says “he was a guy that stepped into the leadership role and took it head on.”

But what do Dawg fans think about Murray’s legacy?

“He ranks at the top as far as commitment to the G” says UGA student, Troy Baker.

“I think he’s the most overrated quarterback in college football” says Blaine Broth.

UGA student, Savannah Wilson, believes “in numbers, I think he is one of the best”

Coach Richt says the thing he is going to miss the most about Murray is his commitment to the team.

“The thing I’ll miss about him the most is how much he loves football and how much he loves his team. I don’t know if he’s ever said anything about himself since he’s been here.”

Richt says it’s been one heck of a ride this year and he will really miss this group of seniors.
