Athens Tool Library Accepting Donations

The Athens Regional Library and LEAD Athens are partnering to create the Athens-Clarke County Tool Library for those in the community who may need a helping hand.

In many places, the library is a place that gives much more than a plethora of books. In April, the Athens Regional Library will house the ACC Tool Library

The tool library will accept donations for tools like ladders for people in the community.

with a goal to provide tools for people in the community who have limited access or can not afford to buy equipment to fix their communities.

The tool library will house basic tools and larger items like extension ladders. Just like library books, visitors can check out a tool for personal projects. The tool library will also offer repair classes, safety courses, and workshops.

Donations are currently being accepted through its GoFundMe page.
