A man is in serious condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the head early this morning.
The victim says that someone entered his home on Sir Matthew Road and shot him.
He did not identify the shooter. Police responded to the 911 call around 2 a.m. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating the crime scene. Crime Stoppers is offering $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
