Clarke County Graduation Rate Lowest In Years

Athens, GA- The Georgia Department of Education released the Clarke County School District’s 4- year cohort graduation rate today. Clarke County, Cedar Shoals, Clarke Central, and Classic City High School are included in the report. The 4-year cohort method is based on the number of students that graduate within four years. The first cohort rate was given in 2011, and the district’s 4- and 5-year rates were both 66%. Last year, the 5-year cohort rate was 71.1%. We are looking into this and will have more details tonight.
