Athens, GA- The Athens Clarke County Police Department wants people to voice their questions and concerns in a casual setting. That’s why four Athens-Clarke County police officers met at Hendershots Coffee bar this morning for “Coffee with a Cop.”

The police department began this event in 2011 but the turnout was unsuccessful. They brought back the program this year, in hopes the community would come out and meet the law enforcement officers. The officers say this event is not only helpful for the community but a fun way to spend their day. Reporter Heather Emmett went out to Hendershot’s where the program takes place to show you what the cops are up to.
