The Common Application is suppose to make students’ lives easier. However, this year it has not.
“Students have experienced problems submitting the Common App. Thats been a major problem that the students have had. It either won’t submit or takes a really long time to submit,” states Lucy Leusch who is VP for Enrollment and Financial Aid at Oglethorpe University.
The Common Application is accepted by over 500 schools nationwide.
“The Common App makes it really easy for students to apply to multiple institutions. Just by filling out one application,” says Leusch.
The Common App you can see is easy to navigate. However, after hours of working on your application for it not to submit would be devastating.
“Its been a really glitchy year for the common app, but its been around for a really long time and its been a reliable application for students to use,” explains Leusch.
Leusch believes that the Common App is doing a good job to handle the problem. Georgia Tech, Berry College, Mercer, and Oglethorpe University all use the Common App here in Georgia.
