Downtown Athens to Hold Parade of Lights

IMPORTANT CHANGE IN ROUTE: The parade begins at the corner of Hancock Avenue and Pulaski Street. The parade ends in front of City Hall.

CLOSED ROADS: Intersection of Washington and College Street at 4:00 PM and Hancock Street at 4:45 PM,

The Annual Downtown Parade of Lights will be held downtown tonight at seven. After the parade there will be a traditional tree lighting ceremony in front of City Hall. This years theme is “A Fairytale Christmas.”

PARADE MARCHING ORDER: Check out the parade marching order here

PARKING: Parking decks, the first thirty minutes are free in both the College Avenue and Washington Street decks.

Street-side Parking, rates are $1 per hour with a max of two hours.
