Ride-Sharing Services Have Effect on Athens DUI Rates

Ride-sharing services have become popular over the past few years. In Athens, Georgia, these services have impacted the DUI rates.

 Why It’s Newsworthy: According to the Athens-Clarke County Government, there are about 103 establishments in downtown Athens who hold alcohol licenses. Ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft help transport people from the downtown area.
