ATHENS, Ga. — Local restaurants gathered at the Classic Center in downtown Athens earlier today in support of The 18th Annual Empty Bowl Luncheon. It was here that ticket holders had the chance to enjoy a modest meal and accept awards on behalf of The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. Attendees also had the option of purchasing tickets that included a handmade ceramic bowl crafted by local Athens’ pottery shops.
