DANIELSVILLE — There is a newly posted speed limit on Forest Trail in Madison County.

The speed limit is 25 miles per hour. There was no posted limit before. There is also a newly posted No Outlet sign that was not there before.

The new speed limit was proposed to the Commission of Madison County by Pete Bond of District 2. A neighbor asked Bond to see if he could put in a speed limit, and so he asked the board and they agreed.

The neighborhood is one of many dirt roads in Danielsville and not all of them are marked, but they are understood to be around 35 miles per hour.

Grady Newsource reporter Rebecca Scott talked to one neighbor at Forest Trail to find out if the change is good for the neighborhood.
