Gov. Brian Kemp confirmed earlier this week Georgia’s first two cases of Coronavirus, involving residents of Fulton County. The Georgia Department of Public Health has put together a document informing schools and universities about preventive measures they should take to prepare for Coronavirus.
These are the main takeaways:
- Schools and universities should increase education about respiratory hygiene
- Schools and universities should encourage routine surface cleaning
- Schools and universities should have supplies on hand for staff and students (masks, soap, paper towels, tissues, hand sanitizers and trash baskets)
- As new information on novel coronaviruses becomes available, check the following websites for updated information:
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website – https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
- Georgia Department of Public Health website – https://dph.georgia.gov/novelcoronavirus
