Governor Deal Addresses the State

Athens, Ga– Governor Deal addressed multiple points in his address to the state of Georgia. He proposed expanding Pre-K in the State of Georgia from 170 days to 180 days this year.

He also, talked about the increase in the Hope Scholarship. He expects to increase funds by 3 percent. Deal says, The Hope scholarship will fund a total of 600 Millions dollars this year.

Finally, he addressed the healthcare issue in the state of Georgia. Deal does not want to expand Medicaid to more individuals. He also proposed to apply a provider fee to hospitals as they do in nursing homes.
