Athens, GA – It’s flu season! There are two ways for kids to avoid getting the vaccination: the traditional flu shot and the nasal spray. The CDC says young children may need two doses of these vaccines and that the nasal spray is the better option for them. Athens, GA – A` UGA Smoking Prohibition Protest is taking place today at Tate plaza. It’s being led by the Arch Conservative MAgazine. Some students are gathering to fight the ban of tobacco on UGA campus going into effect tomorrow. The Board of Regents voted last year to ban cigarettes, e-cigarettes, pipes, and any other tobacco product from being used anywhere on campus. They want to protect students from second hand smoke. Daniesville, GA – A resident has brought attention to a monument donated to Madison County High School. The football team rubs the monument before every home game heading to the field. The controversy that written on the monument is a bible verse stating, “If God is for us then who can be against us?” and “I can do all things through Christ.” Protestors want the monument taken away saying that it goes against church and state laws. Reporter Brianna Watts has what the superintendent and school system plan on doing next.
