Kids Could Start School 1 Year Later due to Kindergarden Bill

Reporter Sophie Archer is at Fowler Drive elementary school where she is going to talk to a kindergarden teacher about what effects House Bill 100 would have on incoming kindergardeners if passed.

HB 100 would change the cut off date on when a kid has to turn five from September to June. This will prevent kids who are still four in August from starting kindergarden.

The bill is intended to keep kids who are not ready for kindergarden out of school or in pre-k for another year.
