Morgan County robotics team prepares for competition

Morgan County — Students on the Morgan County High School first robotics team got a jumpstart on this year’s competition. The competition is nationwide, and every year there is a different function that the robot must perform. This year, the robots have to be able to lift crates. This is part of a nationwide program, but not every school has it. This is Morgan County High School’s fifth year having the program at the school, and the second time it will participate in the Georgia Southern Classic in Perry, Ga. However, Dorian Holloway, the team’s electrical and communications leader, explains why the program is bigger than just going to competitions.
