Not Driving Miss Daisy: Tips for Keeping It Safe While On The Road

Getting behind the wheel to drive can often be a daunting task. Drivers are juggling fighting traffic and digital distractions, so it’s important to stay safe while on the road.

There is an average of 6 million car accidents in the U.S. each year, according to Driver Knowledge.

Here are a few tips to keep you safe while driving:

  • Focus on Driving: Don’t use your phone or any other electronic device while driving. Also, refrain from eating or applying makeup when behind the wheel.
  • Plan Your Route Ahead of Time: Be sure to know where you are going before you hit the road. Key in your GPS directions before leaving home. Build in time to stop for food and other business.
  • Get Regularly-Scheduled Maintenance: Remember to check your tires and stay aware of the overall health of your car.
