Parents to Voice Their Opinions At Local School Board Meeting

CCSD_logoParents, teachers and Athens Clarke County school officials will meet tonight to discuss attendance and discipline in the schools. Athens Clarke County School Board meeting will host the forum to review the school district’s code of conduct. The board strongly encourages parents to read before coming to tonight’s forum.

“I read through it many times the fourteen years I’ve been a Clarke County Parent. The parts of expectations is very small and part of disciplinary action is really long. I think it puts out a very negative approach to discipline,” said Bridget Ratajczak, a parent.

Clarke County School District hopes this meeting will allow the system to move forward by getting input from the community. The meeting is tonight at 6PM.
