Police Buddy Kits

ATHENS, Ga-  A chest seal, a pair of shears, pressure dressing and gloves. These are a few things found in police buddy kits. This buddy kit helped an injured victim after he was stabbed at a bar in downtown Athens. Senior Crime Analyst for Athens Clarke County Police Department, David Griffeth, says the idea for the buddy kits came from the military. “These are battlefield components that were used to treat soldiers,” he says. Reporter Jordan Lee has more on these kits and how they are keeping people and officers safe.
