Proposed Calls Creek Sewer Line Causes Concern

Talks of an expansion to the Oconee Waste Water Facility has some Watkinsville residents concerned. The County Utility Management Director has proposed a pipe carrying excess treated water that would run through a subdivision. And while posted signs aren’t explicity saying it, people there are collectively saying “not in my backyard.” I spoke with locals about what the expansion would mean for the community.
