Statham Sunflower Festival Attracts Most Vendors Yet in 23rd Year

The city of Statham held its annual Sunflower Festival on Sept. 17, with this year’s event proving to be noteworthy in size. The festival attracted 217 vendors, the most Statham has seen in its 23-year run. The vendors sold everything from cookies to jewelry to artwork.

“It makes me very happy,” said Barrow County resident Virginia Cooper, who has been to every Statham Sunflower Festival. “All year round, I just can’t wait till the time comes.”

Below are photos from the festival showcasing the variety of items sold from the record-breaking amount of vendors.
