The Long Skirts: 3 UGA Alumni Reminisce on Days as Cheerleaders

Three alumni return to UGA each year to partake, and be a part of, the annual tradition of homecoming. Inseparable from this tradition is their uniforms.

 Why It’s Newsworthy: Long skirts and thick, knit sweaters reveal a lot about women in the 60s and provide insight on our own cultural moment.
