Experience: Echols is running for reelection for the Georgia Public Service Commission. Republicans have been in control since 1993.
Major Platform Points: Echols is focus and always has been focused on consumers’ safety, reliable and reasonably priced telecommunications, transportation, and quality electric and natural gas services. Additionally, he is working to allocate the responsibility of processing Georgia’s nuclear waste to the federal government.
Major Challenges: Sex trafficking in Georgia will continue to be a major focus for Echols if he is elected into a second term. He formed the Unholy Tour Project which takes Georgia lawmakers on a bus tour around Atlanta for an eyewitness account into the issue of sex trafficking.
