UGA Police Monitor Student Jaywalking

Look out students, UGA campus police are cracking down on jaywalkers this month.

Although no citations have been issued, multiple students have received warnings on campus in the past two days. However, UGA police chief Jimmie Williamson says it is important for freshmen to be aware of distracted drivers.

“We do this at the beginning of every school year. We try to reach out to new students and remind them to be cautious around busy intersections.”

UGA campus police urge students to follow pedestrian crossing laws for their safety.
