UGA Student Competes on Wheel of Fortune

Like most college students, Jordan Sollie has dreams. One of them involves Vanna White and a Wheel of Fortune, and it just came true.

He’s been applying to reality television shows since he was 11 years old. He has applied for America’s Got Talent, season fourteen of American Idol and The Voice. Now, he’s living his dream on the Wheel of Fortune’s college week.

“I’ve got this crazy luck. If someone is chosen out of a room full of people, it’s typically going to be me,” Sollie says.

More than 10,000 people apply to compete on Wheel of Fortune each year. Only six hundred are chosen.

Sollie likes to play games, but the aspiring screenwriter is serious about his career. He promoted one of his scripts during his Wheel of Fortune episode. He hopes to have more good fortune and appear on future game shows.

“Big Brother is my next one. You have to be 21 in order to be on it, but in two years, I’ll be there,” Sollie says.

You can watch Sollie compete on Wheel of Fortune’s college week next Wednesday.
