Upcoming Weekend Brings Fourth Annual Slingshot Festival to Athens

Athens, GA: The Slingshot Festival returns to Athens from March 31st- until April 2nd.

This festival is not like any other festival in Athens with the efforts of UGA departments and various Athens venues. You can expect to have local, national, and international artists, but this festival combines music, electronic art, comedy, and technology.

Kai Riedl says that in 2016, music and technology goes hand-in-hand. Many artists, whether music or art deals with technology. Therefore, a festival that combined the arts with technology is necessary.

Last year, the festival brought about 3,000-4,000 people and Kai Riedl, Director of Slingshot, expects nothing less for this years turnout.
