The search for missing dog, Chapel Bell, continues here in Athens. Money is no object since the dog is considered a part of their family. Dog owner Kimmie Bell is asking no questions and offering a $5000 reward for her safe return. Over 150 fliers were put up around the area.

“We miss her so much and just want someone to bring her home,” she says. “We have had no promising leads as to her whereabouts or why someone would cause this pain and suffering for her and us.”

The family has hired a private detective to help with the search for the dog, but there was no match with the fingerprints. The family reports that two cars were parked outside of the house at the time the dog was taken that usually aren’t there.

“So at the time Chapel was stolen there were two parked cars in the driveway that were not usually at the house,” she says.

The thief busted out the back door of the home, and broke into the dog’s crate. The family reports that nothing else from the home was taken including their computers and other electronics.

A Facebook page, Bring Chapel Home , has been created to help with the search. The search is also backed by the Georgia English Bulldog Rescue.

The family continues to have hope and prays for her return.

“We never give up hope that Chapel will come home,” Kimmie Bell says. “We pray for her daily to come home and for her safety.”

Updates from the detective working on the case later. Stay tuned.
