The 6th Annual AthHalf Half Marathon will be held this Sunday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 AM. The AthHalf begins in downtown Athens and winds its way beyond the UGA campus ending the 13.1 mile race at Sanford Stadium. Check an interactive map of the course below:

ROAD CLOSURES:

Since the AthHalf has a four-hour limit many roads throughout Athens will be closed for some time. If you regularly use any of these roads below check to see the times they will be out of commission on Sunday.

Washington St. (from Hull St. to Thomas St.) – CLOSED – Approximate Times: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Thomas St. (from Washington to Hancock) – ALL but Western-most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Hancock St. (from Thomas to Pulaski) – CLOSED – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Pulaski St. (from Hancock to Prince) – ALL but Western-most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Prince Ave. (from Pulaski to Cobb) – ALL but Southern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.

Cobb (from Prince to King) – ALL but Southern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.

King Ave. (from Cobb to Hillcrest) – ALL but Eastern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Hillcrest (from King to Hill) – ALL but Northern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Hill (from Hillcrest to Milledge) – ALL but Northern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Milledge (from Cobb to Lumpkin) – ALL but Eastern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Lumpkin (from Milledge to Gran Ellen) – ALL but Eastern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Gran Ellen (through Zoo to S. Milledge) – Approximate Times: 8:00 a.m. –  9:30 a.m.

S. Milledge (from Gran Ellen to Riverbend) – ALL but Western most lane OPEN then switching to Eastern most lane before Loop 10 exit – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Riverbend (from S. Milledge to College Station) – ALL but Eastern most lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

College Station (from Riverbend to River Road) – LOOK OUT FOR POLICE – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

River Road (from College Station E. Campus) – ALL but Eastern lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

E. Campus (from River Rd to Carlton) – ALL but Western Lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Carlton (from E. Campus to Agriculture) – ALL but Northern lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Agriculture (to E. Rutherford through parking lot) – ALL but Western Lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

E. Rutherford (to Smith (around Coliseum) to Sanford Drive) – ALL but Northern lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Sanford (to Hooper to East Campus Road) – ALL but Northern lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

East Campus (to Baldwin) – ALL but Western Lane OPEN -Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Baldwin (from E. Campus to Lumpkin Street) – ALL but Southern lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Lumpkin (from Baldwin to Tate Center Parking Lot) – ALL but Eastern lane OPEN – Approximate Times: 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

 

PARKING:

Thousands of people will be participating in the AthHalf so parking will become an issue.
