Athens, GA – Bikers and runners, we have a new challenge for you. Firefly is a new 39 mile-trail that will connect Athens to Winterville, Crawford, Woodville, and Union Point. The trail would take place on the old Athens portion of abondend Georgia railroads. Accoding to a Firefly Trail board member, these trails will draw more attention to the smaller cities that are going through hard economic times and would help develop the communities. So instead of the normal cho cho, well see more bikers and runners, chugging along.
