Friends, Students Grieve Georgia Southern Crash Victims

STATESBORO- Flags are flying at half mast on GSU’s campus today in remembrance of the five students who were killed in yesterday’s car crash.

Lauren Stephens is a nursing student at Georgia Southern University. She talks about what it’s like losing 5 classmates. Stephens teared up as she described the “family” that the GSU nursing program is.

Five people passed away and two other students were injured out of a total 50 nursing students within their cohort. 10% of a class of students is missing today, and Stephens says that family will never be the same.
