Grady Sports Update: UGA Scrimmage Before Clemson

ATHENS, Ga.— Georgia had another scrimmage Wednesday night at Sanford Stadium, but this time they played against the Clemson-like scout team. UGA won the practice game 41-42.

The UGA practice players have been working all week to replicate Clemson’s offense in attempt to give the starters a glimpse into what they will see on August 31st. QB Christian LeMay played the role of the Clemson’s Tahj Boyd in a situation where UGA would be down at halftime 28-0.

Georgia’s first and second team players worked they way back into the game, but trailed 41-35 with close to two minutes left. UGA QB Aaron Murray re-entered the scrimmage to complete the drive to win the game. Grady Newsource Sports Reporter Avery Smith will have more details Thursday. Here are the stats:
