Athens-Clarke County Police to End Grace Period on New Hands-Free Law

During the two months since the Georgia “Hands-Free” law went into effect, Athens-Clarke County police have issued fewer than one ticket every two weeks, and eight warnings.

 Why Its Newsworthy: Athens-Clarke County police said the trend to give grace and to educate drivers about the dangers of distracted driving will end soon.
