Athens-Clarke County Approves Additional Funds for TSPLOST Budget

Athens Clarke County approved  $5-6 million dollars for the TSPLOST budget.  Georgia law allows communities to use the Transportation Special Purpose Local Sales Tax (TSPLOST) for transportation purposes if approved by voters.

This years budget is going towards nineteen approved projects. Infrastructure projects include Prince Avenue sidewalk and road maintenance. There will also be improvements made to Firefly Trail and Lexington Highway. Other projects include downtown transportation improvement.
