ATHENS, GA- Nuci’s Space is hosting a benefit concert at  the 40 Watt tomorrow as one of its final pushes to meet its fundraising goal for the REM Steeple. The goal? 250,000 dollars. So far, the campaign has raised almost $95,000. Nuci’s Space hopes the steeples historical significance will help them get to their goal.

Mark Tessenabum, Project Manager at Nuci’s Space says “It’s within this community that this is a historic structure and has a lot of symbolism and meaning. We have a strong chance to do it.”

The concert at the 40 Watt is free and is featuring more than 15 local bands starting at 7 pm. Concert goers will also be able to purchase a brick from the steeple, which will go directly to the campaign.

Nuci’s Space is raising the money through an ‘Indiegogo’ campaign to renovate the steeple and fund it’s resource programs.
