Brent Cobb Sets Off Country Music Week

With respect for the tragic event our nation experienced this week, we bring you a bright spot – our interview with Brent Cobb. It has been said that music is one of the great healers. Considering that, here is some uplifting news about last week’s country music concerts in the Classic City. It began last Wednesday with everything we love about country music when Brent Cobb gave a special performance at the Georgia Theatre before the big Jason Aldean concert on Saturday.

Brent Cobb is one of Nashville’s rising stars. The singer/songwriter brought his down-to-earth/humble style, funny sense of humor, and toe-tapping music to downtown Athens, thrilling the excited crowd that had come to see him perform along with the Josh Abbott Band.

Brent’s current single, Love On Me, is available on iTunes and is featured on his self-titled EP. All the songs featured on the EP are written, or co-written, by Cobb. Music Row Magazine called the EP, “absolutely essential listening.”

This friendly country crooner caught up with Grady NewSource reporter, Mamie Shepherd, while in the Classic City. Cobb’s performance had the crowd on its feet, singing and dancing, at the theatre!
