If you’re staying in Athens for Spring Break, don’t worry about being bored! Check out our list of just some of the events happening around town next week:

ART-

Why go to one art venue when you could visit seven of Athen’s visual art venues in one night? The monthly “Third Thursday” event will take place starting with Yoga in the Galleries followed by a Twilight Tour and more.

If you want to explore some more art, there is plenty going on at the Georgia Museum of Art. There are multiple exhibits focusing on a wide range including: Clinton Hill, Crafting History, Ingrid Bolton, James Rose,  and Opera in Print .

SPORTS-

If you’re a Gator Hater support the University of Georgia Women’s Tennis team as they take on Florida at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. For more information about the event click here.

Time to go out to the Ball Game! The UGA Baseball team will play Kennesaw State at Foley Field. More information about the event can be found here.

COMMUNITY-

Do you love local politics? The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement is hosting its first ever Mayoral Forum to ask potential candidates about their plans for local issues. The event starts with a networking session and ends with a community building exercise.

If you’re fascination with emergency vehicles and large trucks hasn’t faded, you might want to go to the Touch A Truck Event this Saturday. Participants can explore large trucks and emergency vehicles in this hands-on experience.

LIVE MUSIC-

You can choose which Athens artist gets to perform at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival! Just by voting on which local band you like, you get a chance to win tickets to the festival. More information about the event can be found here.

Louis Phillip Pelot will play Leaving Countries, but with a twist. You can enjoy your favorite meal at Cali N Tito’s Eastside while enjoying the music with Latin influences. More information is here under Live Music.

 FOOD-

If you like brunch with beer check out the Kegs and Eggs Brunch at Terrapin Beer Co. Biggums BBQ will bring brisket biscuits and DJ Mahogany will also be there.
