Georgia Tennis Heads to the ITA Southeast Regional Championships

The Georgia Men’s Tennis Team will be heading down south for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional Championships.The dawgs will be competing in individual matches against other D-1 schools in the Southeast Region.

The Championships will be an all day event at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida from October 19th to October 24th.

Head Men’s Tennis Coach Manuel Diaz has a positive outlook on the upcoming championships and says he has faith in his young team.

“It’ll be a tremendous challenge for our kids. We’ve been working very hard and had a couple of guys do very well at the Georgia Tech Invitational, which was our last tournament. So, our boys are looking forward to an opportunity to do well this tournament and qualify for the National Indoors in New York City the first weekend of November,” said Diaz.

The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men’s and women’s players across the country with over 8,000 student-athletes competing from various divisions.
