Hillary Clinton Holds Rally in Atlanta Ahead of Tuesday Primary

Hillary Clinton

ATLANTA — Voters in Georgia, along with a list of other states, will make their voices heard this week on what is popularly known as Super Tuesday.

At a recent rally in Atlanta for one of the candidates, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed boldly stated his support for Hillary Clinton claiming she could win the state of Georgia in the March 1 primary.

“There was never a doubt in my mind about who I was going to stand shoulder to shoulder with,” Reed said. “We know that all she has to do is win this election, and she’s going to be an amazing president.”

At a rally for Clinton held at the Atlanta City Hall Friday, Reed introduced the Democratic presidential candidate to an audience of nearly 500 student volunteers, Atlanta supporters and southern state voters.

Clinton spoke for about 30 minutes about her plans and aspirations for the country.

“America can’t fill its potential until every American is able to fulfill his or her potential,” she said.

The list of topics included incentives for small businesses, raising the minimum wage, equal pay for women, access to educational opportunities and criminal justice reform. Triana Arnold-James attended Friday’s rally. Arnold-James, title holder of Mrs. Classy Georgia, endorses Clinton for her support of President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act — an issue she put into her pageant platform.

“She will support it, she will further it, she will help us to keep moving this country forward,” Arnold-James said.

Clinton stopped at Octane Coffee in Atlanta before moving on to South Carolina where she picked up the Democratic vote

According to a recent primary forecast, Clinton has a 99 percent chance of winning the Georgia primary.
