Athens on Ice Public Skating

What: Indoor ice skating is back at the Classic Center. Group rates are available at a cheaper rate. Hours vary depending on the day, so check the Classic Center’s November skating schedule here.

Athens Santa Pub Crawl

What: Four venues in downtown Athens are hosting the 10th annual Santa Pub Crawl this weekend. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Boybutante AIDS Foundation.

When: Saturday, Dec. 1 from 6:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Where: Boars Head, Cutters, Little Kings, and Live Wire

Price: $15.00 in advance, $20.00 day of the crawl

 

Indie South Fair: Holiday Hooray

What: Indie South is hosting it’s largest event of the year this Saturday. It’ll feature live music, food trucks, artist demonstrations, workshops, and vintage and handmade vendors.

When: Saturday, Dec. 1 – Sunday, Dec. 2 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Oconee County

OCAF Annual Holiday Market and Artists’ Shoppe

What: The 24th annual Market will feature “unique art and crafts objects” from 70 regional artists.

Price: $3.00 admission for adults, free for children under 16

 

Watkinsville Tree Lighting

What: This annual holiday event will feature music from local choirs, cookies, hot chocolate, and more.

When: Friday, Nov. 30 at 6:00 p.m.

Where: Downtown Watkinsville

Price: Free

 

Classic City Clydesdales Holiday Open House

What: The family-owned Clydesdale breeding facility will open its doors to visitors for holiday fun this weekend.

When: Saturday, Dec. 1 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Price: $5 per car entry fee, $12 photos with “Clydesdale Santa,” $12 Clydesdale pony rides

 

Watkinsville Christmas Parade

What: The morning after the Watkinsville tree lighting, Northeast Georgians can go to this event including floats, bands, vintage cars, and more. This year’s theme is “Candyland Christmas.”

When: Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11:00 a.m.

Madison County

Cookies with Santa

What: Enjoy holiday treats with Santa this Thursday.

When: Thursday, Nov. 29 at 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 p.m.

Holiday Tour of Homes

What: Madison’s Historical Society is hosting it’s annual tour of historic and private homes in the town named one of Southern Living Magazine’s “The South’s Best Small Towns” in 2016 and 2017. The tour offers day time and candlelight tours, as well as a group rate.

When: Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Where: Tour begins at Heritage Hall (277 S Main St., Madison, GA)

Farmview Holiday Market

What: This special holiday event features handcrafted gifts, kids crafts, free hot chocolate, and an appearance by Santa himself.
