Jackson County School Presents Dilemma

NICHOLSON, GA – Benton Elementary School will remain open.

The Board of Education says, “This is all about the kids. 100%”

But the school board could do some redistricting in the future. This would affect Bryan Bullock and his children. They currently attend Gum Springs Elementary School, but if the school board redistricts, his kids might have to go to a different school. This would create a longer drive to school.

One of Bullock’s sons also has dyslexia, and he receives extra attention at Gum Springs that he might not get anywhere else. But for now, the school districts will stay the same until at least 2016-2017 school year.
