That phrase means go dogs in Spanish. While that might be a popular phrase around Athens, those aren’t the only Spanish words that will be spoken around town this month.

The reason is because it is Latino Heritage Month in Athens. From now till Oct. 22, Athens will play host to 24 different events showcasing Latino culture.

The celebration kicked off today in Tate plaza with Mariachi Espuelas, a mariachi band from Atlanta. Check out a portion of their performance below:
