Traffic delays caused by construction on Oconee Street might be lasting longer than planned. Athens-Clarke County was hoping to finish the project by October 1st, but bad weather might be pushing that date back. According to one of the project engineers the road was in need of resurfacing and they are working as quickly as possible to open back up all lanes.
