President Trump’s 2019 fiscal budget proposal would give a major decrease in funding to public housing. This decrease could mean Athens Housing Authority has to get more creative on how they plan to provide affordable housing for the community. Reporter Brittany Stocus has more on the story.
The budget still has to be voted on and approved by both the house and senate and signed by President Trump before any of these cuts occur.
