Prince Avenue Closed Due to Emergency Vehicle Fire

By Zack Sims

One side of Prince Avenue closed earlier this afternoon after a Franklin County ambulance caught fire at the intersection of Prince Avenue and Chase Street.

An official from the Franklin County Emergency Services told us two employees were driving the vehicle when they smelled gas. They immediately pulled the vehicle over and called the fire department. The vehicle caught fire shortly after.

No one was injured because of the fire, however two lanes were closed causing some traffic on Prince Avenue.
