‘Que’ to be named UGA X on Saturday

By: Damian C. Reynolds

The University of Georgia will formally introduce “Que” as Uga X at Saturday night’s game against Georgia Southern.

Que succeeds UGA IX, formerly known as Russ, as the Georgia mascot. Russ retired at age 11 after working 63 Georgia football games. Russ served as the Georgia mascot on and off since 2009. He finished his time as Georgia’s mascot with a final record of 44-19.

Que is owned by the Seiler family of Savannah like every other Uga before him. The Seiler family provided and cared for each Georgia mascot since 1956.

Que worked as Georgia’s mascot for nine of Georgia’s ten games this season, only missing the Vanderbilt game on Sept. 12. The new soon-to-be Georgia mascot will be collared at halftime.IMAG1152
