The Lead: Beth Hunt On The Stability Of Business News

Much of the journalism industry may be struggling to find a financial model that “works,” but that is not the case for American City Business Journals.

Beth Hunt was a breath of fresh air on the podcast. She is the director of editorial recruiting and development at American City Business Journals, which is the largest publisher of metropolitan business newsweeklies in the United States.

She said her company approaches the industry differently, and the nature of business news provides a more stable business model for news organizations like hers. Hunt said this also means that their journalists tend to stick around for much longer than other news organizations.

She brings a new perspective to the podcast and was so passionate about the work she does. Perhaps this conversation will give you a new outlook on business news.

Give it a listen.
