UGA Threat: Timeline of events

At about 11:35am on September 19, the University of Georgia Police Department received several reports that there was a threat of violence directed at the Miller Learning Center. The threat was found on social media but the site not confirmed. The MLC was evacuated after the UGA alert system sent calls and emails to all students starting at 12:05 pm. The threat was aimed for noon at the MLC. UGA Alert sent out another call, telling everyone to stay away from the building.  At 1:08 pm, an all clear alert was sent. UGA Police say to resume day as normal and return to classes. Despite reports that classes have been canceled, we checked with UGA admissions office and all classes are to resume as scheduled.
