Athens- Sam Beard is a drug investigator for the Madison County sheriff’s office. He has helped make over 30 felony drug arrests since December 1st. He does his work undercover. He gathers information, does surveillance, and finds the drugs. He says it is like a game of hide and seek.
“They hide the drugs, and I go and seek them,” Beard says.
