Verdicts on APS Cheating Scandal Read, 11 out of 12 Guilty

ATLANTA — The jurors’ verdict for the Atlanta Public Schools Cheating Scandal is in—11 of the 12 defendants were found guilty on racketeering charges.

Verdicts are mixed—some have additional charges including false statements and writings. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Jerry Baxter read the jury’s decisions.

Following the verdicts, several of the educators were handcuffed and taken to jail.
