Truck Driver Hospitalized After Overturn Crash

Athens, Ga (GradyNewSource) – A truck driver has been hospitalized after his tractor-trailer overturned on Highway 29 in Athens during Monday’s evening commute.

The driver was on the on-ramp from the 10 Loop when his truck overturned near the merge with Highway 29. It took emergency crews over an hour to remove the driver from the truck’s cab.

The man was taken to an area hospital. Authorities are continuing their investigation and Grady NewSource will update the story Tuesday.
