Athens, GA — Northeast Georgia is under a tornado watch until 11 a.m. Tuesday morning. This means conditions are favorable for a possible tornado.
The University of Georgia issued a severe weather warning to students. It told students to “seek shelter indoors immediately. The university issued an all-clear around 7:45 when a previous tornado warning expired.
This does not mean that severe weather is definitively over. There is a secondary front expected to push through our area around 1PM today.
